Indira Gandhi National Open
University, Regional Centre, Lucknow was
established on 1st December, 1986
with one study centre. It is one among the
largest Regional Centres in the country in
terms of student enrolment, number of
Learner Support Centres, activated
programmes of studies and various
decentralized activities. Over the years,
the student enrolment to various programmes
has been increasing steadily. The Learners
are being served through 77 (seventy seven)
Learner Support Centres, under the Regional
Centre, Lucknow.

The Learner Support
Centres have been established in almost all the
major educational institutions of the region such as
all Government Engineering Colleges for MCA/BCA/CIC
Programme and leading Medical Institutions such as
KGMU, Lucknow, SGPGI, Lucknow, BHU, Varanasi,
College of Nursing for the Medical Programmes. We
are also negotiating with the Directors of leading
Institutions for establishing Programme Study Centre
for Agricultural Programmes such as Diploma in Dairy
Technology, Diploma Programme in Value Added
Products from fruits and vegetables and Diploma in
Meat Technology.
Regional Centre, Lucknow is
involved in muti activities like Pre-counseling to
the aspired learners & Learner support services,
Admission, Conduct of Induction Meetings,
Participation in national & international
educational fair, Publicity and promotional
activities, Establishment of learner support Centres,
Conduct of teleconference/video conference, Conduct
of Viva-voce for BCA-MCA, Conduct of Term End
Examinations/Practical Examinations, Organizing
Convocation function at the State level, Collecting
the assignments of resubmission and get them

This is in
continuation to admission notification issued in national dailies on 5th August
2010 inviting applications for admission to B.Ed.-2011 programme wherein 50%
marks in Bachelors or a Higher Degree from a recognized University
(Relaxation of 5% for Reserved Category applicants as per Government of Indira
Guidelines) was mentioned as eligibility criteria, however, 50% marks is not
applicable to the persons appointed as teacher prior to 26th July 2010.
Other criteria remain the same.
The Regional
Centre, Lucknow has supplied the study material to all the study centres for the
students who were admitted in January 2011 admission cycle. In case you have not
yet collected the study material please contact to your study centre
immediately.
Please always
keep student identity card Issued by the Regional Centre whenever you
visit to the Regional Centre, Study Centre or Examination Centre not only for
security purpose but proper verification

Before submitting the
examination form please ensure that:
The required number of assignments as applicable for
the course(s) filled in the examination form have been submitted.
The authentication certificate is duly signed by the
Coordinator/Incharge of your Study Centre/PSC/PI…etc.
Registration for the course(s) is valid and not
time-barred.
Examination fee 60/- per course
has been remitted and the relevant proof enclosed.
In case examination fee is submitted through demand
draft please ensure that the demand draft is made in favour of IGNOU and
payable at the city of the Regional Centre where you are submitting your
examination form.
The enrolment number, programme code, course code are
correctly filled in the examination form.
In case of non-compliance of any of the above conditions candidature for
appearing in the Term-end Examination will not be considered and no Hall Ticket will be issued.

Assignment:
The University, with
immediate effect, has made the submission of assignments mandatory for issue of
hall tickets. Therefore, all the concerned students are required to ensure
validity of registration and submission of assignments for the course which they
intend to appear for the term-end examination and get their examination form
authenticated from their Study Centres / Programme Study Centres / Special Study
Centres / Recognized Study Centres / Partner Institutions / Community Colleges /
Convergence Centres / Programme Coordinators, etc. to this effect and submit the
same at the Regional Centre to which their opted examination centre pertains.
